Some of you that read this article, might have been locking for some information concerning the installation process of some specific program. If this is the case, you can read this article as well, because I will try to explain the general process of software installation.

When you have a software kit and you want to install it, look for the “setup” or the “install” file. These two configuration wizards can help you through the installation process of the program at hand. Once launched, the application will run and a configuration window will appear on screen. It will display information concerning the location where you want to install the files and optionally, the number of files that there are installed.
One small tip in case you want to speed up this process, could b to keep hitting the “next” button until you reach the end of the installation, thus leaving the files to be installed in the default location. By default, I mean that they will be installed somewhere in Program Files under a new directory. This could be a good way to go in case you don’t want to misplace any programs because you forgot where you installed them.
Another tip is to install the files where you want them to be installed because by doing this you can maximize the amount of space that you have on every partition and thus leaving freer space on the Windows partition so that it can run properly.
I hope you have learned something from this and next time you jump ahead and install some new software, you will look twice to the location and the amount of space you have on that specific partition.
